I've been travelling to Lord Howe Island for over 11 years, Clive's advice is invaluable. The times I have tried to ring the Met Office they have never answered.

Casa might say they are not going to investigate but who believes that
Behind the scenes I bet they are

FTS, I asked re mainland return fuel in post 8, none of us seem to know the answer

It would also be handy to have the weather forecasts tafs ect

Normally on PP when we don’t need WX we get swamped with them

CASA will only be investigating to see if Clive was contacted for weather info on this flight, if not then investigation closed!

I think we do know the answer. Why keep attempting approaches in weather like that if you didn’t have the fuel to get home?

What’s the latest? All fixed and gone / enroute as sea freight / sitting there covered in salt with grass growing up over wheels
