Can We Borrow Donald Trump Please?

We need a Donald Trump to drain our local swamp - Canberra.

Jabawocky 9th Nov 2016 04:57

YES PLEASE x 10^6

The constitution/bill of rights too while we are at it. :ok:

C'mon, Clive had a wallow and that went really well didn't it.

I think the US has just commenced the genuine reckoning that's well overdue for the inane political correctness we've all had to endure both in politics and corporations.
It may not be pretty, but it's sends a powerful message.

Clive Palmer is a perfect example of a popularist boofhead who leaves nothing behind him except an embarassing trail of disappointment and a mess. Perfect parallel for Trump.

Trump = Palmer ^10

From what I hear he is pretty aviation savvy.

Luv him, hate him it ain't gunna change him from being the most powerful man in the world for the next 4 years.

It's gunna be fun.

At least he will change the status-quo, we certainly need some of that here.

peterc005 9th Nov 2016 08:47

Australia is prosperous, safe and stable. Possibly the most so in the world.

We need leaders who are dedicated, honest and smart. Last thing we need is a pompous ******** with a history of "stiffing" people he doesn't feel like paying.

No argument from me there. Would someone care to tell me where we can find such leaders, because currently we do not have them!!!:*:ugh:

Australia is prosperous, safe and stable.
For how much longer??:confused::sad:

Australia.....Great country. Pity it's been so badly managed.

I think they said that about america too...hence the result.

Time to have a businessman to run arguably the biggest corporation on earth, rather than a politician

None in sight unfortunately, we'll just have to make do with Trump ...

From what I hear he is pretty aviation savvy.
Really?..

He hates unions and his only attempt at running an airline was a complete disaster.

N.Y.-to-D.C. shuttle fiasco sheds light on what a Trump presidency may be - StarTribune.com

If you want some light reading, Google Frank Lorenzo, who the Donald is pictured shaking hands with in the article.

Sunny...the sentiments of many, many people in this country

Cantberra has turned into a fairyland. Laborals and Libor are too busy playing the game of getting and holding power....whatever it takes.
And in the bureaucrazies as well, the higher up the food chain the more talking and money wasting they do.

Leadership We saw recently a new "leader" in non aviation house. Melted away like a snowflake in hell..which it is...with nil results for the industry.

Where to from here?? No change possible under existing circumstances, thats for sure.

Oh Aussie "Donald" wherefore art thou. ?

le Pingouin 10th Nov 2016 01:51

Have any of you who think Donald is so wonderful actually read any of his history? He's a great self promoter, not a great businessman. He'd have failed long ago except the the banks decided the buildings were worth more with his name on than without.

aroa 10th Nov 2016 02:13

Its not so much THAT Donald people are on about...its about a change that is a complete getaway from the current status quo.

"Twiggy" "Dick" "Tom" or whatever the name..its the real, positive and productive changes that we require.

Politics is a filthy business, so you can see why good and knowledgable folk steer well clear of any involvement.

And beating yr head against any bureaucratic wall/iron ring/naysayers/troughdwelling donothings is an impossible task.
Thats how its set up...by self servants, for self servants...how to blow it open???

We, the people are superfluous

Shame we don't have any candidates here who own their own 757.

I guess we have Dick but hes only going to be left with his Caravan when he sells the Citation.

What ever happened to Dick running a couple candidates, all talk I guess?

Jbrownie 10th Nov 2016 07:11

I hope all the fleeing citizens increase air traffic and the airlines are force to expand more and hire excellent pilots such as MYSELF :)
