Thanks, Dora-9 for the two close ups of STN. Beautiful! The instrument panel is a work of art.
It's a long time since I had a flight in a Dragon Rapide.. ;) |

Herewith a couple from the TAVAS flying day. I battled a bit with the flying photos, with most action being up sun, but for what it's worth...;

Some rather lovely photos from Mark Smith, taken during the recent Antique Aeroplane Association event at Echuca:

Thanks for that Dora-9, superb photos.
The working man's Spitfire. Not been picky, but none of the pilots are wearing safety vests was that not part of the fifty point safety plan and briefing prior to going flying? |
Beautiful aircraft. Excellent photos.
|
Yes, lovely.
Thanks for those, D-9 and spinex. Looking at Mark Smith's shots, one could get the impression that he's not just a lucky shooter. :ok: Oh, BTW, Wings over Illawarra (HARS, Albion Park) is happening this weekend. The FW190 is making its Oz debut, all going well. |
Sadly there's two vacant seats in the Chippies..
Great photography from Mark Smith. Thanks, Dora-9 for posting them. :) |

Caboolture in a few years once the dump has become a housing estate and the paddocks a park
|
It must be somewhere in Australia with that new housing estate right next to the aerodrome.. ;)
|
nahh, not Australia, we would have built the houses directly at the end of the runway and out along the approach paths, also, i have not seen an estate in Oz where all the houses are built in perfect rows like that.
Lots of new hangars, well maintained airfield, so cant be in Oz. |
Perchance Ida?
|
.....he's in a 58 Baron.
|
Budgie :ok: And a mighty fine example of the breed. Immaculate, new interior in leather, new paint, 2 x IO550's and maintained to Beech program since new by ANA at Bakersfield.
GTN750, ADSB, S-Tec a/p. ;) Plovett……you are on the right track sorta, although the spelling is Ada. West Houston Tx.:ok: |
and a golf course right under the approach as well.
