I think tankengine is talking Qantas Slezy - VA doesn't have a ADL flight crew base either.

Thanks tank engine.

Has anyone heard back from Virgin after their two lots of openings (ATR and 737/777)?
Interviews are being held next month.

There will be plenty job for all in OZ at VA don't stress. There will even be 737 OZ recruitment from the start of 2017, and with ATR pilots locked out until mid next year I hear, bad for them but good for others. .
What are you basing this on SHVC? Are you assuming 73 oz drivers leaving as not sure any expansion is confirmed...
Because we're seriously undercrewed at the moment. They don't have enough pilots to cover the flying plus the annual leave/long service leave requirements over the next 2 years.
Oh, I dunno, the undercrewing has it's advantages. This roster I have 20 odd hours flying and 20 days off. Course, that's because I have 896 hrs and change for the 365........:yuk:

Yeah it is starting to look much better. Announcement today, a330s flying to Abu Dhabi and that is on top of the China flying yet to be confirmed. What is confirmed though is recruitment across all fleets yet no numbers given yet. Count on plenty of 777/A330 SO, 737 FO (vanz and oz) and a330 positions (internal). 2017 is going to be a huge year recruitment wise for VA plus QF hiring, enjoy the good times while they last folks!
I think you can add 737 FO ( OZ ) to internal recruitment also long list of applicants before and external recruitment on that fleet I would imagine.
