I sat the 2nd attempt of the exam ended up passing it (just) .. altough i must say i only used bob tait text alone. It did not help i had 16 TEM questions. so guys if your thinking of just using bob tait text alone think again !

Had the HPL exam yesterday and passed it with flying colours. I used the the latest edition of Bob Tait - May 2009 and also had a look on the casa site. So If you study for TEM with only those references you will have no drama :ok:

TEM info

ATC material is good, Tait also. The following link takes you to a succinct document that clearly explains most TEM concepts but does not skimp details.:

flightsafety.org/files/maurino.doc

Worth reading.

Further to TEM material...a powerpoint

Also see

Densely packed, a little lurid but in depth!

I understand the questions on TEM come from the following publications:
  • ATC - Human Being Pilot: Human Factors for Aviation Professionals - Chapter 11
  • CAAP 5-59.1
  • Human Factors for Pilots - Roger C Green
  • Aircraft - Human Performance & Limitations - Tony Wilson
Does anyone have or know and can recommend any of these publications?

Hey guys, just wondering they "Safety Behaviors kit" you guys were talking about from the CASA Online store, is it the same as "Safety Managment System - AN AVIATION BUSINESS GUIDE"?? I was trying to look for the "Safety Behaviors kit", but the closest i came to was the publication above.

Any helps will do, I am planning to do my ATPL soon.
Thanks:ok:

Uh. No.

One is "Safety Behaviors", the other is "Safety Managment System - AN AVIATION BUSINESS GUIDE" They are completely different.

K3nnyboy, the Safety Behaviours kit can be ordered from the CASA online store here

Thanks DH 200'!!

Apparently they are out of stock at the moment, so if anyone wanna order a copy, they're advised to contact CASA via the following:

Hey guys, don't go paying for CASA's 'Safety Behaviours: Resource Guide for Pilots' - I found an online version here: here.

Just thought I'd share!
