Jet* 747s?..

Has anybody heard anything about Jet* rumoured to be ordering 747s for its intl routes?..

Buster Hyman 5th Feb 2008 01:13

...They're not for Jetstar.;)

lowerlobe 5th Feb 2008 01:45

Hey Buster...

Is Darth starting up another airline to take SIA on or is J* paying back the money it owes to the parent?

Buster Hyman 5th Feb 2008 01:58

This has been touched on before...Grasshopper!

Wunwing 5th Feb 2008 02:16

Not freighter by any chance? No money in freighters???

lowerlobe 5th Feb 2008 03:04

Buster.....I mean Master....Sorry....At my age I can't remember anything which happened more than 2 months ago....

Must be the selective memory that the boss keeps telling me I have...

Short_Circuit 5th Feb 2008 03:13

So, anyway, who are they for

strobe12 5th Feb 2008 04:13

"The 747-8 does not do it for us"

And the one i love best when asked about the 777 "is old technology"

:ugh::ugh::ugh:

PyroTek 5th Feb 2008 05:20

maybe J* will inherit QF's old 747s?

airbusthreetwenty 5th Feb 2008 06:46

Yeah. JQ are.

VH-EBU.

It's still is in Avalon, isn't it?

blow.n.gasket 5th Feb 2008 09:55

I've heard that nimrod Drew R quacking on about 747's in AAE.
He's also been telling prospective pilots that they can expect to be mainline crew within 2 years.
Wonder what that's all about?:bored:

Mr.Buzzy 5th Feb 2008 10:02

Now why would Jetstar need 747s when they are getting the A380s?

bbbbbbbbbbbbzzzbbbbbbbbzzzzzzzzzzbbbbbbbbbbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz z

Jabawocky 5th Feb 2008 10:35

Buzzy...you have been round long enough to know!

They aint getting any A380's or B787's........they are all late!!:E

So maybe some of QF's 744's or 743's:yuk: are on their way over:E

J:ok:

lowerlobe 5th Feb 2008 19:06

The 747 they are talking about is the one at Longreach......and Darth wants the 707 back as well.....:E

Mr.Buzzy 5th Feb 2008 20:33

Im pretty sure I saw "Connie" having her seat pitch reduced as well!

bbbbbbbbbbzzzzzzzzzzzzzbbbbbbbbbbbbbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Jabawocky 5th Feb 2008 21:53

Buzzy you are correct.

Seat pitch reduced .....so they can store the 44gal drums of oil in the back! The CC have to pump it to the engines a bit on the longer hauls.....like over an hour:eek:

J:E

The company will call this a gym workout and charge the Cabin Crew for the exercise......and probably for the oil as well....

It's going to be a pain when you have to change the plugs in flight as well....
