WIN Insurance ? Anyone head of them?
Esteemed aviators...
A friend who runs a flying school has recently got a quote from a company called WIN insurance (Worldwide Insurance Network), based in New Zealand. They are backed by a company called Hemisphere Insurance. They had a stand at a recent aviation event and were lined up near QBE and Vero. There are many operators using them in Australia I am lead to believe. The concern is that the quote they have provided is around half the price of the alternate companies and as they are fairly new on the Aussie market he / we were worried that there is no history or payouts here. Has anyone dealt with this company in NZ or OZ and can you provide information on dealing with them? Any info greatly appreciated. PM me if you don't wish to post. Thanks. QNH |
Anyone? ......

Sure
Win has been in operation about 2 years in OZ . services lower end of GA market eg ultralights and hulls less than $500,000 value and liabilities less $10,000,000. Underwriter is a registered NZ insurance company. Re claims, a/c in which a well known BK flying school owner & AOPA identity was fatally injured was a claim paid out by WIN as well as third party claim of a/c on the aerodrome which also suffered damage as result of above accident PM me for more details. |
