Avgas availability for visiting GA aircraft at Canberra
The new ERSA became operational on 12 June but it does not reflect the true Avgas availability situation at Canberra.
Visiting Avgas GA aircraft take note !
MOBIL no longer supply Avgas at Canberra. The fixed hose filling facility was removed in the last month.
SHELL can supply visiting aircraft with fuel from the tanker but the catch is paying for it.
Payment is apparently only accepted by :
1) Swipe card.
2) Cash paid via the Safety Officers office.
3) Cheque reported to be OK, but please check before flying to CB.
4) Credit cards NOT accepted. (eg V/M/BC/AMX. Reportedly no provision to process same.
The situation regarding the supply and payment for Avtur is unknown. Most Avtur users however would probably have a swipe card.
