Nice display over Wellington today

Hi there

I enjoyed watching an aerobatic display by 5 yellow planes (wish I knew what they were but I don`t) over the centre of Wellington at about 12.45 this afternoon. It was a perfect day for it and they looked pretty good to my untrained eye..

Does anyone know who the team were, what they were flying and what the event was?

Sounds like the airforce in their CT4E's Airtrainers otherwise known as 'plastic rats'. Not sure what the display was for but im sure it would have been impressive as they are pretty sharp.Maybe it was to reassure the bee hive that 'Helen's army' is still out there!

They were right over the Beehive and I had a feeling that in todays sensitive climate, any old display team wouldn`t be allowed right over the city..An airforce team makes a lot of sense
