Cockpit videos

Hello all,

I am sitting the ATPL subjects and would like to know if there are any good cockpit videos around. I would like to see what I am learning being put to use.

Thank you

Video

Hi there

Firstly good luck with your ATPL...

Check out this site and get hold of the 747-400 video flown by Don Grange. It shows in good detail the EFIS and EICUS systems. Well worth the watch...

Don't know about the OZ ATPLs now as I sat the old ones abot 10 years ago, but here in the UK the ATPLs are very 737 orientated and there is a good 737 video based on a GO flight. Talks about the EFIS and stuff. The 747-400 video is used by a number of flight schools here in the UK as a guide on EFIS. Also the airbus 320 video is very comprehensive.

Transair here in the uk sell all the videos on VHS or DVD and are able to send to OZ or the UK.

Don Grange is now flying as a captain on 737s for easy jet here in the UK.

Question

onedaymaybe? (hopefullysoon),

Was Capt Grange one of the unfortunate 49er's?

If he was, at least he is back in the saddle .

Safe flying, hoss

From Cathay -400 captain to Easy 737 captain. Grangey must now hold the record for the biggest paydrop in aviation history. (Or would any VB guys like to throw your hats into the ring )

If you're in the area, try the Technical Bookshop in Melbourne, they have a series put out by 'intelligent Video & TV'. I think they're about $60 each, and cover most the Boeing and Airbus types.

Virgin Atlantic

Thanks everyone

I now have the Virgin Atlantic flightdeck video. It is a great video that takes you from Heathrow to San Francisco.

Try this website

http://www.meriweather.com/

It's got a great interactive simulation of several airliner cockpits. Not a video, but might help with the ATPL nevertheless
