Good Luck

Wish you all the best mate. I have heard that Andiliakwa (can't spell) just shut up shop so there might be a few high time drivers looking for work. All the best...

How many hours do you have? How did you get them? If you've got less than 500 it might be better to get some jump or instructor time down south before making the plunge. There aren't a whole lot of companies that will take people with less than that magic number.

That said, if you stick it out for a good period of time and make yourself known at the door and on the town, you should end up ahead.

Good Luck

Generally, the magic 500hrs is quoted by most operators, however if you hang around long enough and get to know a few people, that can change dramatically. Best of luck.

Rumor has it HA,a well known Darwin identity and charter operator, known. for his generosity and calmness under pressure may be looking for someone to tow a boat to darwin. What a way to meet the right people day one and get to go sking as well!

Suggest going to post office and getting an NT yellow pages.Don't rule out jobs in arnhem land or any other places in the top end.I spent many years in the NT and the amount of pilots with low hours we offered jobs to at outstation bases who said no,they only wanted a job in Darwin was mind boggling.6 months later they'd be still coming through the door, while the bloke who took the job may have done 3 or 4 months in Hells crack or somewhere but is then moved into Darwin as the need arises.Don't be disheartened when operators mention the 500hrs as there is always a way around it,if your the right person with the right attitude.
