Broome Opportunities

Was just wondering what the state of affairs are in regards to securing a job in Broome in the coming weeks or months?

Also minimums for M/E drivers and preferable endorsements.

Any info appreciated..

King Leopold have 210's and put their pilots on casual.

Broome Aviation/Northwest Regional have 210's, a 310 and 404's. They have predominantly full time drivers.

Skippers have a Metro 23 there and do their recruiting out of Perth. Again, full time drivers mainly.

Coast Watch have islanders, aerocommanders, a reams 406 and a Dash 8 with various through traffic. All full time drivers.

As for recruiting, King Leo's and Broome Av could be the go this time of year.

Thanks Ref+10

Would like to gather a bit more info on Broome Av.

Mimimuns for their Multi Drivers and any other pertinent details would be great.

Cheers

Cool Have Fun

Ref + 10 is correct. Was told Broome Av require 300 Multi for their RPT run, 404 and 310. General charter in the 210 will require you to have 300 TT and above. 20 hours or so on 210 will put you in good stead as will a great attitude. The Guys and Girls their are terriffic and work well as a team. You will need good PR skills as you will probably accompany the tourists on their little adventures in the outback.

King leopold have great people to, however no twins or at least they didn't have any twins. A great place to get excellent experience though.

You'll get used to MYI doing their thing for Skippers into and out of Cadjebut/Derby/Broome and the RFDS Kingair into and out Fitzroy Crossing. By the way if you are ever in Fitzroy Crossing say G'day to Dave, you will know him when you meet him. Runs a great operation out of Fitzroy.

And tell Dave (Grumpy) his old C310 looks good now. Ask "K" from GAS, they see it all the time.

Great to here Dave is now operating a C-310. Does he still have a C-210 and a Cherokee6 and his Co-Pilot German Sheppard?

Safe flying, hoss

When I was up there last November Dave had a C210, Lance and Turbo Arrow. Only Dave was allowed to fly the arrow.

One of his pilots is a good mate of mine and is really enjoying working up there.
