Question Who did this?

Did anyone out there ever do this?:
- Train to CPL in Oz, find a job, settle down and live happy ever after?
If you are a positive thinker, and I leave myself open for sarcasm, please let me know how you did it - 'cos I want to........

Indeed it is possible - I quit the UK about 4 years ago and trained in Oz. I've been around Australia working for various organisations - some good, some not so......

I know one thing - I'm bloody glad I did!

If you're prepared to put in the hard graft and entice a little luck then it can be done .

Mmmmmm - I love the smell of kero on a crisp winter morning

It certainly is possible, it happened to me...
Been through the losing the job bit, last year as a GA driver, not Ansett....

Found an employer with whom together we built a base......

One word...

Persistence

and the other thing never listen to anybody who says its stuffed.....Remeber a pilot is not necessarily a great endorsement for the industry. The great bit is whilst listening to the rot about how bad it is, think to yourself, thats one I dont need to compete with they've already given up....

And I so advise!

Yep. Trained to CPL, with what used to be Sydney Airways, under Brian wetless, found a job, with a major Aussie airline, (unfortunatly when they are on the ground, and not in the air)
Met a lovely woman, Bought my Own aircraft, and am living Happily ever after!

Ah furry muff Fission,

Thought Heathrow was LHR

Or is that like YMML vs MEL (ICAO vs IATA)

Hope your xmas was good and have a great New Years, for you as well Turbulent Eddy...
