Thumbs down condolences to the true proffessional

To all my fellow pilots,

I received some disappointing news late this afternoon. A true professional was made redundant from Wakwaks. I've known this gentleman for a period of more than ten years. He is not only a team player, but a person who has not let his standards waver to second rate companies. The chief pilot of this particular organisation made him redundant thirteen days before christmas knowing he had a wife, child, and a mortgage. He was told that his services were no longer required due to the fact that he was not one of the most senior pilots with the company. I say rubbish!

My mate has been employed by this company for quite some time and has held check and training and previous chief pilot experience.

Obviously the chief pilot is not a team player and has a standard that has always been second rate throughout his entire career. I know that the chief pilot was obviously concerned that he would be shown up. Wakwaks was never a second rate company, but it's been run as a circus at the moment. The only difference being that a circus has a ringmaster.

C.M. you will go a long way.

To all you wakwak pilots, keep the standard up, just like C.M. did, not like second rate Joe.

Please feel free to show support to C.M.

PS Regardless of the companies' turnover, in lean times any dinkum company would back their employees all the way

You Rock, you hit the nail on the head!

I've known Craig for almost 4 years now, I have worked under him, with him, and I too can say he is a true professional, without a doubt.

To those heartless pr!cks who made him redundant, Get a life, you really have no idea who you've just lost from your company. A man of true integrity, leadership, a man who would support his fellow aviators in the name of aviation safety, Craig is the best!!! We need more people in the industry like him.

Don't worry Craig, what goes around, comes around. You'll do well mate.

Jose

My condolences to GM
Since you have borught this to attention, A friend of mine was made redundant by the same company about a month ago for no apparent reason, but lucky for him he was rung up by Qantas.
I hope GM has the same type of outcome as my friend did.
The Cp's attitude will catch up with him sooner or later

My condolences also go to Craig. Being a family man of similar situation, I can certainly sympathise.

I don't know any of these people that are the subject of this topic. (Accept Troopy's mate. The one who got put off and is now starting with QF. ONYA MATE!!! Sorry I was too sick to have a drink with ya. Next time.) Be honest though. Don't you think it would have been a very difficult decision by WakWak's CP, or was Craig a deliberate and specific target?

From what I've been hearing, WakWak's been running a pretty "Wakky Wakky" ship of late. Anything a job hunting pilot should know about?

The CP is(was?) just the finger puppet of the very recently departed C&T.
These two pathetic excuses for managment have taken a well run, well respected, well liked company and absolutly destroyed it.
Obviously their morale building/keeping abilities and total lack of any people and communication ability mirror their lack of managment experience and skills.
What goes around comes around, and these two prize fools will get theirs!
