Three years doing it. 28000 AUD a year for single pilot in the hills when I left. It would be one of the best jobs going if it had the helicopter drivers package. The best flying I've done by a long shot. Unfortunately the bandit seats are sold in kina where as the helicopter is usualy on a USD contract. Just how it was. If you didn't like it then leave. So I did. Are you saying this is no longer the case?

Their were only 3 companies operating bandits when I left and I'd be surprised if South West is still operating. The other 2 had fairly similar packages. One used to operate helicopters and the other was bought out by a large helicopter company, both giving the fling wing guys tours and about twice the dollars. I should add that this was a great stepping stone to bigger and better.

They are paying better cash now, athough it's still not enough for what is expected, ie flying around the Southern Highlands and living in lovely Mendi ! They were still doing the dodgy single pilot IFR ops earlier this year, although I think OCA and a Chevron auditor may have put a bit of pressure on the F/W chief pilot to change his way of thinking slightly, as they now have co-pilots. Good company, well maintained aircraft, and a good bunch of blokes. The Pit and "Mr WALLY" are still running CPS.

One white can please Greg, ahhhhhhhh make that two please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
