Farewell Pprune!!!

WHAT A JOKE!!!

Starting to see PPRune not as a rumour network but a bitching one!

I am sorry Danny; I am handing in my wings!

Such a shame when only the hatred and bitterness of people is being expressed here.

To all the people that are genuinely interested in being part of aviation, don’t let the bittered and twisted people that sometimes visit this site deter you from your dreams.

To all the characters and interesting people I have met both on this site and in person I personally thank you.

And lastly, Woomera thanks for the memories. You really do a difficult job but a fair one. Hope it all works out well for you.

Hey hmm...

Gotcha, I knew you couldn't resist sneaking back to have a look.

Don't let us girls get you down it's just no fun in the powder room without a good bitchin' now and then.

Yup '89 is a weeping sore that's not going to heal in a hurry, but hey there's lots of other stuff to talk about too.

Yup Oz aviation as a whole has been under an unprecedented amount of change and strain.

So we come here and let it out a bit.

Children don't try this at home.

OK there are some sad sacks and just plain d!ckheads but you learn to ignore them if Woomera doesn't get to them first.

Group Hug here.

And if it starts to get to you, go take a walk around the block with the dog for a reality check.:o

I find breathing into the old brown paper bag works for me sometimes.

Hang about, the fun has only just started.

As you are learning, hmm..., professional aviation is a small world - a lot like a family - and so if/when one of its members steps out of line, or makes more noise than another, he is USUALLY jumped on!
Likewise, if one member is seen to be getting more than another then the whinging and bitching will start, but only because the others are hoping to get an IMPROVEMENT in their conditions rather than dragging the fortunate ones back down. There are enough non-aviating, armchair/computer-game experts who enjoy telling us how easy our jobs are, how overpaid we are, but who don't possess the ability to progress beyond their keyboards!

Yes, there is also occasionally bickering within families that leads to one member being ostracised because he/she cannot fit in with the rest. In Australian aviation, history has now shown whom those misfits were, with many of the extended family having returned from offshore to continue their life back home, whilst others (of us) drop in to pay regular visits.

Go away for a while if you need to, but GUARANTEED - if you've got that smell of kero in your nostrils, and the need to look skyward when you hear an aircraft flying overhead - you'll be back!

Oh, btw, I noticed that you're not getting too much sympathy on JB either.
