Premium Pilot Epaulettes

G'day,

For about the last 10 years, I've been buying my epaulettes from Concept Aviation Supplies.

Concept no longer exists, but has been replaced by the Downunder Pilot Shop.

Concept used to sell these 'premium' epaulettes that I believe were imported from Vietnam by a local fella.

These were really solid quality epaulettes. The ones Downunder now sell are of inferior quality.

Does anyone know where Concept used to buy theirs from/is there another retailer in Australia for them? If not a retailer internationally?

Or, any other good quality epaulettes that can be bought here in Aus.

Do you have a wife, girlfriend, mate, buddy?
Put one of the above to work, assemble the materials and make your own.

So many questions..How many are you buying? You know epaulettes are reusable, right? Doesn't your employer provide them?

Everyone knows that the only premium pilot epaulettes are exclusively supplied to Qantas Mainline pilots.

That’s not true at all Lookleft. We give them out very generously - the manufacturer can barely keep up!

The guy is looking for some very specific ones he used to buy that aren't available there anymore. He likes those and found the quality to be good, so he wants to track them down. How is that so hard to understand? I don't think it's any different to me trying to track down Van Heusen shirts for example, as I really like the quality and they can be difficult to obtain from time to time. And somehow you and a few others have decided to use this to have a dig at someone? bloody hell.

Ask a British Airways pilot why his bars and rings are silver and he will likely respond, ‘They’re platinum, old boy’.
