Question for AUS/NZ private pilots
Hi everyone!
Aware this forum is supposed to be for pilots only but figured posting here was worth a shot…
I’ve just moved from Sydney to Auckland for work and I’m looking to find a way to fly over my two chihuahuas privately/in the cabin. It might sound a bit silly but I just refuse to put them in cargo/under the plane. They’re both a bit anxious and are older, so I know they won’t do well or cope. I just don’t think I can put them through it.
We had a seat booked on a private flight sharing with other pet owners, but unfortunately the business organising had to cancel our booking since they couldn’t get the numbers.
Basically I’m just trying to explore all avenues at this stage... I have $8000 saved that I can pay/put towards a seat on a flight for myself and the dogs. Does anyone here regularly fly that route and would be open to sparing a seat? Maybe you have a client who does that trip often and would be open to letting us on in return for money towards the flight? Aware 8k is nowhere near enough for our own flight but hoping there is some way we can tag along or share with someone going over.
I’m hoping to fly end of march - basically just need a month’s warning so I can follow all the correct testing requirements for export.
