Appears to be a high wing Tecnam, there are suggestions elsewhere that it may have been a newly arrived taildragger, that was to be based at Boonah. Sad.

CFI of Airsport Qld, Dave Briffa has been confirmed as one of the fatalities. Many would have flown with Dave over the years, myself included. A true gentleman.

A gent indeed and a really good, thorough instructor from my perspective. From memory, he'd flown GA commercially before becoming an RAAus instructor. It hits even harder when it's someone that you admired for their skill, RIP Dave.
