Custom aircraft models query
Has anybody had dealings with this crowd for handcrafted aircraft models?

I paid for a model mid-2022 with an anticipated 5 month delivery time. During December and into January multiple calls and emails seeking a delivery date have gone unanswered.
Has anyone had a good experience with them or have I been ripped off?

You have been ripped off. I ordered in late 2021. Had comms up until July 2022 with promise of delivery. Nothing since. Emails, phonecalls, Facebook have all gone unanswered. I assume he has done a runner.
Likewise I ordered one in 2021 and no where to be seen - messages are going unanswered now.
The clue is "wixsite," which is a very low end website service. Sorry for that to happen. Fortunately there are a large number of other suppliers.

The last updates were in early 2021; the innocent explanation is there is an order system still running but the owner has died. On the other hand straight-up scamming is also on the table, playing on the Veterans angle for sympathy.
Perhaps contact https://www.camaust.com.au/ which looks like a reputable dealer - someone there will very likely know what's going on and point you to getting the model you want.

Similar experience ordered in late 2021, had communications up until mid 2022 and now nothing have even tried to contact them last week and nothing. I've pretty much given up and assumed I've lost my money.
I notice that their facebook is pulled now. Guessing I will never see that money again.

Did you pay with a credit card (or VISA debit?) - simply lodge a claim with your bank along with a stat dec to say you never received the goods.
Credit card merchant fees are designed entirely for this exact scenario and why I will try and avoid at all costs direct bank transfers to businesses I don't know.

I'd also be cautious about Nice Airplanes. I've bought three excellent models from them in the past, but they're not answering emails either. I didn't try and place an online order.
