Conversion from JAR to Aussie

Flying down under
I would like to hear from people with experience in converting to an Aussie licence.

I am a holder of a JAA CPL, and I've been lucky enough to find a job in Western Australia.

Now, I've been wondering about conversion to an Australian licence i.e. what are the costs, how long does it take...all the practical stuff basically
From browsing the CASA site I understand that I need Air Law and Flight Rules written exam and a flight test. Anybody been through that?

Cheers,
Nicholas
