Columbia Helicopters (PNG) Boeing Vertol arrived for fire fighting duties.
Arriving in Cairns yesterday, Thursday 21st, was Columbia Helicopters Boeing Vertol P2-CHI, normally based in Moro, PNG
Sister ship P2-CHY has been in Australia since last fire season.
The crash of Hevilift's Mil-8 earlier this year in PNG, has left a heavy lifting shortage...

Very impressive machine!

I guess it might be able to lift as much if not more than a Mil-8 or a Bell 214...
