PA-31 Check lists
I made my first PA-31 checklist from the Piper POH, can't go wrong using what they advise, add whatever you want extra you think is good. The only PDF checklists I have are propriety property to certain companies and fit in with their operational philosophy, ie some things were done differently because we did maintenance differently, two crew operations, so on. Things like leaning procedure, cool down procedure, power settings for climb, cruise descent all might be linked to certain monitoring we had so not a good idea to transpose to your own flying without the big picture. The POH is designed for the basic airplane operated by the simple user.
Mind you, when I flew it, TMPFISCH and BUMPFOH worked as well as anything. If you've had a decent intro to the aircraft, and you know that the oil dipsticks have levels printed on two sides, and you can work the levers to crossfeed fuel without a mistake ... then it's just a piston twin.
It's all about the angle the engines are at when mounted on the wing as opposed to say the Aztec where the engines are mounted level.
Direction of rotation has nothing to do with it. If I remember correctly the Seneca is the same, that's the original Seneca not the Seneca II and above.

Like Megan, I have the checklist in printed and also laminated form, courtesy of my last Employer the Late TK, but not in pdf form, so I won't reply either.
Hang on....

From a request for a PA-31 checklist to a discussion on dipsticks on a PA-44 Seminole in just 12 short posts - well done on the ThreadDrift, PPruners.
Checkboard, your first post is gold. Well played, sir!
For the purposes of accuracy, yes, I have a PA-31 checklist. Can I recommend you check in the aircraft you are flying for the POH, and create your own from there?

Didn't all PA31 use to require their own unique checklist circa 2009? or am I remembering things very incorrectly?

Well done fellow Ppruners! Once again, the (once) typical Aussie humour displayed.
Thought it had disappeared.
SCPL_1988; Got the hint yet?

And a thank you to OU and PF for edcumacating me (and the others who didn't know) why there would be two different sides on the dipsticks for what is essentially the same engine on the same airframe. Much appreciate it.. Although it's blindingly obvious when you think about it after the fact!
