Grampian Airpark / Fly Aways
G'day I was wondering if anyones been to the Grampians Air park recently? I've heard you can taxi straight up to the accomodation?
I've got a few mates that would like to go for a weekend away next month and was looking for ideas.
Anyone got anywhere else in Victoria they like to stay at for a few days on a fly in?

Asses Ears? The strip is right next to the accommodation... or vice versa.
Maybe Apollo Bay, Lakes Entrance, Marlo, Mallacoota or Merimbula may fit your criteria. King Island or Flinders are closer than some other parts of Victoria too, subject to your over-water appetite.

Asses Ears Wildness Lodge was a great place for a group to fly to. I haven't been there for some years but a friend told me recently that he couldn't contact Steve by phone - numbers in the online white pages. They relied on international visitors on bus trips for income so I guess that fizzled out last year.
