Fast moving jet traffic circa 10 years ago - Hobart

A question posed from a non aviator friend below, direct quote.

"question for you...do you know what the plane thing was that flew from the mainland over Hobart one evening maybe 10 years ago?
It was quite amazing and traveled so fast. Was trying to look it up but not having any joy"

Apparently people went down to the regatta grounds to watch, so some sort of planned display.
Also aircraft came from Brisbane and it was at night. I'm guessing F111 out of Amberley on the farewell tour - timeline fits.
Any military aviation historians able to shed some light, maybe link to footage?

Cheers

There was an article in the Mercury about it, but it's expired. It was HERE.

You can see their FB post on it, brief as it is, HERE. Might give you a hit more to go on?

It was an F111 that did a dump and burn. Source: me as a young lad that walked to the middle of the Tasman bridge to watch it fly over.

Thank you, thought as much. Will advise my friend accordingly. What a great vantage point.
Saw similar in Townsville with 2 F111s along the Strand. They don't make em like that anymore sadly.
