Security Screening Changes

The ABC is reporting changes to airport security screening arrangements....

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-11-...ports/12845286

Hurrah! I thought, no more ASICs. Not so fast..... Six airports downgraded, 13 upgraded. Furthermore, one council has decided to “retrain” its now redundant screeners into airport security guards - no doubt they will become officious little hitlers to justify their wages.

‘’A bad idea with a life of its own.

I wonder if they will consider an ASIC as valid ID. Perhaps every airport could sell us their own ID Security passes...

In the UK each individual airport does issue their own pass. It’s a right pain, as you can’t get anywhere when you are not at your home airport. ... and the security have the ability to take away your pass for silly things like not wearing a hi vis.
