Exclamation Even The Seagulls Are Grounded

I don't normally have a very high opinion of seagulls and their lack of desire to fly (except for Toyota ads), but in this instance, they are forgiven!

‘Tis certainly the week for bad weather. Rocked into Sydney today finally after a go-around and 55 minutes of holding. Showers were horizontal with only 50km winds. Hardest braking I’ve ever experienced in a heavy in all my years, thought we may end up off the end of the third runway into the bay.

Sounds more like a media interview with a panic stricken passenger!

You wouldn’t need a Storch or a Cub to do one those reverse flight demos, you could almost do it in a Chieftain.

PAPI
Hopefully the new globes will be better for the gulls than the last lot (although probably not required for Jonathan)...
