Qlink Hold File

Can anyone shed some light on the average wait time prior to a call up?

Apologise if its been covered elsewhere.

If it’s anything like the wait times for mainline, it could be a long wait. Depends on how desperate they are for drivers I suppose.

Interesting Hold Filer.

I know the overall level of experience in the flight deck, particularly the regulatory difficulty in upgrading low time F/Os has been of concern.

First I’ve heard of them moving to DEC’s though.

Ground schools to recommence around March from what I've been told. No idea on the numbers per course.

There's some internal upgrades happening at the moment.

I’ve been on the hold file since July 2018.

Is this in the “normal range” of wait period? (I have ATPL/mcc/9000 hrs/2000 mea/ few hundred turbine)

OR are the people getting a ting a start more along the line of “uni degree/fresh faced” types (no offence intended)?

It is funny when you read the headline quickly and completely misunderstand the intent of the conversation.

When I looked at the heading I read "Qlink hold fire" which got me thinking that something caught on fire in one of the aircraft as they were in operation.

Thankfully no, just tired eyes but it is funny how one simple misread of the title has a completely different meaning

Highly doubt March. As people have eluded to above, they are way over their FO numbers at the moment (to the point people are being rostered low 20 stick a month). With the influx of the ex Propstar guys hitting the line soon, productivity within the FO base is only going to get worse.

Probably looking like more mid-year once mainline and JQ take their people.

On hold file since July 18? And only recently we apparently had a pilot shortage?
