I have the AFT notes and 7 weeks to prepare for AOSA and AHUF. AOSA is booked for the second day after I land and AHUF 3 days later with the ability to rebook AOSA that same week should the first time not go well.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as I have given myself 2 weeks for both exams and hopefully the flight test.

I also attempted the same approach in August last year. Tried my luck for all 3 exams within one week. Needless to say, the outcome was miserable.

What was surprising though, was that I was able to secure a pass in the first fo for IREX, whilst needed repeats for both AHUF and AOSA. Reflecting back on my performace for both, I would say AHUF was a sorry miss. What happened was the study load for AOSA and IREX was so heavy that I simply couldn't give AHUF the attention it deserved and ended up making some basic mistakes. I feel that had I given a full strength attempt for AHUF also, this could have been an easy pass. AOSA was no different, got stuck in the middle and was literally left with one minute and a few seconds remaining when I clicked the last question.

In terms of preparation, I feel what DeltaEchoXray has said above is quite valid and useful. I am currently preparing for my AOSA repeat, probably in a week or two (the moment I hit the confidence button in my head). I did secure the AHUF pass a couple of weeks ago. But now I am physically in Aus and can spread the study time more evenly, which I consider an advantage over the previous attempt, where I had only one week here - not to forget the associated flight fatigue etc.

Do follow the given guidelines and for study assistance material, I cannot recommend anything better than AFT. Helps us who are foreign to the system to understand the Aussie pulse.

I do have the advantage of not having to do the IREX exam.

So can fully devote my attention to AOSA and AHUF. Trying to get them done in a week with a back up plan of a second or third attempt if needed in a 3 week span.

Annoyingly I passed AHUF many years ago but did not do the other subjects in time which with 20/20 hindsight would have saved me a lot of time, money and grief.
