Is the Barnaby Joyce / Anthony Albanese agreement on the Civil Aviation Act genuine?

There are claims coming from the Minister’s office that Barnaby Joyce and Anthony Albanese did not agree on the changes for the Civil Aviation Act that bring cost in for the first time and also state “the need for more people to benefit from civil aviation.”

This may be wishful thinking by the people in the Minister’s office but it doesn’t bear the facts. Look at these quotes from The Australian Newspaper.

The following quote is from an article in The Australian dated March 14 headed, “Barnaby Joyce affair sank aviation reform”

“The Australian has obtained a copy of an email sent by Mr Albanese’s chief of staff, Jeff Singleton, on February 9 in which he supports to proposed amendments to the act and suggests several minor changes.”
This following quote confirming Barnaby Joyce’s involvement was published in The Australian on 15 March 2018:

“Mr Joyce … declined to comment yesterday, but he did confirm the details of the proposal he agreed to as minister.”
It is quite obvious that The Australian’s journalists, who are quite thorough, have checked both of these decisions and confirmed them.

Understand there is formidable pressure from people within the bureaucracy not to change the Act.

Talk to Barny and Albo. Albo would just itch to have a chance at stirring up the minister.

Change the Act...Good Grief.!! The sky will fall in.!
That would allow more rights and freedoms for the Av-people of Oz, Cant have that.
And GA to prosper and grow and benefit the nation... Are you mad ??

Us CAsA experts who know best how to keep GA under control, stop you from killing yourself and save the world from falling aeroplanes, would be too busy re-writing the mucked up reform re-write to be able to consider that !!
