Jobs for low hour CPL holders in Aus/NZ

Hi all,

I am considering converting my EASA CPL to a CASA CPL in the hope to find some work down under.

With not a huge amount of hours under my belt I am unsure as to what the hiring scene is in Australia. If anyone has any information regarding the industry in Australia it would be much appreciated.

Don't bother.

Licence conversion aside you will need to have rights to work in Australia. This can be achieved by citizenship/permanent resident, passport holder of Australia or NZ or lastly sponsorship by employer.

An EASA CPL only won't get you a working Visa or a flying job in Australia.

There are jobs for low hour pilots in remote areas in Australia.

However , you will need to go through a complete conversion process.

But most importantly, get your self a work visa, without this you’re wasting your time

Do you have a set on your chest with a marketable public social media profile and less than 200 hours, if so you should be able to walk into a turbine gig #YTG

Gold, especially the week after said operator advertised minimums of 600 hours total time. A slap in the face to all the boys (and girls!) doing the hard yards up north aspiring to move onto these bigger operators, when some newly graduated wonder girl is gifted a position.

Might want to brush up on your immigration knowledge, a few more ways than that.

Haha what's the back story to this? No need for specific names, just more info on what exactly happened?

The only latest ad with a 600 hour requirement was from Aviair in Kununurra.

This brokenagain kid is just bawling his eyes out because he missed out on a job. He went to the effort to make an account just to whinge.
