Pilot simulator test profiles used by airlines
With pilot recruiting currently happening in Australia and NZ, some operators test candidates instrument flying ability using various types of simulators. it would help if former candidates could provide details of the various profiles used.
For example: Profiles and simulators used by Cathay, Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar, Tigerair, QF Link, RFDS, REX, Alliance. and various PNG operators.
From recollection, Cathay use a B747 simulator and test candidates on basic asymmetric flight, ILS and tracking on VOR radials using RMI needles.
Some RFDS operators use a Kingair simulator for instrument approaches and steep turns.
Alliance use a Fokker 100 (?) simulator for instrument approaches and engine failure after take off.
Jetstar use a 737 simulator for steep turns, climb and descent at set rates, basic cruise asymmetric, VOR and ILS.
Virgin now use a 737NG FTD from Airways Aviation Brisbane for steep turns, tracking to and from an NDB, climb and descent at set rates, and ILS. No asymmetric. A circuit is flown using flight director and autothrottle in which candidates are assessed on their ability to follow flight director commands.
Information on other operators test profiles would be appreciated by other hopefuls

Personally, I think you are better off not knowing what others have done. I’ve seen people drop the footy when their sims have gone off the expected (rehearsed) script.
Just be yourself and do your best.
