for departures ex Australia it's now low season, has been for 10 days or so. No one with school aged kids is going to depart when school has started or about to start, which is why you can find some return fares BNE-SYD-MEL/LAX-SFO for under $800 AU/adult on FJ & other similar fares on QF, VA, UA, AA, DL & NZ + all the Chinese, Korean & Taiwanese carriers.

Seasonality aside, Fiji has a bleak outlook due to a broken tourism model for many reasons that has already made it more expensive to holiday in than Australia. Just ask the hotels and tour operators what their biggest, and growing, cause of customer dissatisfaction is. If it continues the way it's going, a Bali without a volcano issue will strangle the life out of Fiji.

You'll have to pass that onto them out there. Friend of mine who is a GM at one of the larger resorts reckons he is running in the 90% occupancy and there are limited rooms in peak period. Expense is an issue with places like Bali competing as always.

Fiji Airways
Hi Guys!
I see that Fiji Airways are looking for 737NG crews on a rotation contract, and am interested in any current information anyone may have out there on the operation.
The usual stuff; pay, conditions, ability to commute, (I live in Canada), the Fiji expat life style etc.
Very Much Appreciated,
Blue Skys!
