Spectator Christmas edition

Very interesting article called "Skid marks in the desert" - written by Dr Ian Plimer (yes - the one Apocalyptic Doomsday Cultists love to hate).

It is about the Cessna Citation II that crashed near Kalgoorlie 30 years ago - he does a fairly forensic dissection of the causes of that accident.

Well recommended for a read.

I knew the pilot of this flight through his attendance at Broken Hill Briefing. He was always attentive to detail and thorough in his flight planning so I always found it very strange that this accident occurred - perhaps it was some psychiatric issue.
