This aircraft came up in a thread some years back but I'm buggered if I can find it. It was looking very tired in 2009 when I last saw it sitting outside there.

It’s been seen sitting at various spots on the field at Albury for probably ten years or more. Tender? They’d have to pay me to take it to the tip.

So the story i've heard.. T'was the bicentennial Air Race, said aircraft had some sort of issues at AY. Owner or Pilot left it there for recification and jumped on RPT outta there. Been sitting in various locatins on the aerodrome since. Albury City Council has been chasing this up for years, followed the correct legal channels, and now can dispose of the eyesore.

Hmmmm.

I was in a team that competed in the Bicentennial Air Race. I don’t recall seeing that aircraft and I don’t recall Albury being on the route.

My recollection could be inaccurate though - looong time ago.
