SLOW SLOW QUICK SLOW

The trick in WMKB in the mid 1970's was to arrange for a trainee to have two bulldogs from WMKA (about 40kts on final) then a Mirage wheels up at 350 kts" then another bulldog.

This was called FUN and it took a very talented Traffic Director to get them on final at the right time.

What?!? Things have changed? I doubt it! Invade on a weekend or during the 4 weeks after Christmas - no air defence to contend with! That's why I loved it!

Sorry, Old Fella! It's certainly true that the Hercs did tend to fly also on weekends. (The Mirages needed a rest from all their weekly U/S's.)

Fortunately none, Lead Balloon. (I preferred working on the sexier, fast jet stuff.) But I have fiddled with a few C-130E's and P3C's during their DLMs at RIC during my time at 2AD.
