MEA / MECIR advice

Hi guys,

Have been away from the training side of things for years so thought I would ask the pruners.

Looking to obtain a MEA and MECIR in the near future. Any recommendations for flight schools, instructors etc? Ideally I would like to use the VET fee loan system however, seems to limit my options considerably.

Thanks in advance.

If you utilise VET Fee assistance expect to pay up to double what a non VET Fee school would charge. Remember you do have to eventually pay the loan back.

Its the cheapest loan you'll ever get. As long as you're paying it back from the proceeds of aviation then I don't see whats wrong with it. If your aviation quest fails and you're paying it back off the proceeds of pen pushing or laying bricks then yeah, that would have to suck.

Definitely planning on staying in the industry. I have years of experience in GA hence, no spare $$ for more training. Hell, fee help wasn't even an option when I first started flying!
