Automatic Power Reserve (APR)
APR is equal to max take-off power and will be selected automatically by the ENG EC in case of engine failure but only when the autofeather system is armed.

Dash 8 has a similar system that they call uptrim. The live engine will automatically power up to 110% regardless of the power level angle/setting. The exception is that the DHC8-200 has an option to disable the uptrim which allows 110% torque to be manually set for a maximum of 5 minutes, great for hot and high environments. They also have torque bugs which helps prevent over torquing.
