Rumor is the LNP Sacred Cow of RFDS has won the NT Contract. Not sure who is providing the Spinwing side however, rumor is, it is the White Elephant mob from NSW.

Rumor would have RFDS and Toll in partnership having won the contract for fixed wing and rotary respectively.

I guess the 5 new PC12 Pros they ordered will be heading up north, but it’s a shame the rotary wing operation has gone to a for-profit operator.

Good question. CareFlight seemed seems to be doing a good job.

• Who does the CareFlight fleet belong to?
• Are the retrieval KingAirs owned by the NTG?

IIRC, federal funding recently for

• CareFlight to purchase a B250, $10.1m in April 25
• CareFlight to purchase a second G150 and helicopter $ 20 m in 2023, (maybe, or maybe-not part of the TEMRS)

There is lots of Other People’s Money involved; tax payer dollars, either Federal or NT.
