A 46-year-old man has died when the plane he was flying crashed in northern NSW (near Walgett?). No other details available.

Why is ATSB deploying a team of 3 investigators to investigate this? ATSB's resource allocation decisions seem to me to have little to do with the potential implications of an accident for risks to the public.

Wouldn't surprise me if the ATSB, as the 'independent' accident investigator, will jump to some conclusions that will assist CASA continue its attempts to undermine the credibility of the AAAA.

Alas, an almost inevitable cynicism as a consequence of the pap ATSB has generated as 'reports' of late, and the post-truth political period in which we now appear to live.

Please dig deep to help Simone and the kids, they have a long and difficult road ahead, this is one way you can help ease their burden on this saddest of all journeys.

It's a sad fact that gofundme takes a portion of the money & keeps it.
