will CASA accept print out from an app or electronic logbook for licensing?

CASR 61.345 onwards... If what you do conforms to the regs, they must accept it. Doesn't say what colour ink! Doesn't say it must be on paper!

Yep, an electronic copy printed out is fine, so long as you sign as such.

If the holder's personal logbook is kept in electronic form, a requirement to produce the logbook is met if:

(a) the holder produces a printed copy of the logbook; and

(b) each page is certified by the holder as a true copy of the logbook records set out on the page.
