Pilot with lazy eye

I'm about to start training for my CPL but I'm unsure about how having a lazy eye or Amblyopia will affect me. I have 6/6 vision in my good eye but 6/24 in my bad eye. It can be corrected to 6/9 with glasses. Just wondering if any others have been in the same position and how it will affect my flying career.

This search may help for a quick start

That appears to not now be working sorry. I just put "lazy eye" into search - including the quotes - knowing there had been recent threads on this.

I've never met a pilot with a lazy eye, but I've met a few with wandering eyes!

If you can pass a class 1 medical you should be fine. i was able to get a class 2 medical by seeing a eye specialist for my lazy eye. it cant be correced with glasses. i didnt try for a class 1 as i didnt want to take that path. only restrictions on my licence says i cant fly rotary wing...

G'day,
Getting your initial class 1 will be the trick. I've held a class 1 medical for 26 years with a lazy eye and from memory there were a few trips to the ophthalmologist for testing way back then.
Things may have become a bit simpler now as no doubt technology has improved.
Hang on, it's still a CASA issued class 1 medical.
See how you go with your DAME's advice. Good Luck.
