DAME & DAO Recommendations Melbourne
I'm sure this must have been asked here before, however I can't find much on search and also the info goes stale.
Has anyone got a recommendation for a good, practical, commonsense DAME and DAO in Melbourne. This is an initial Class 2 issue for an ageing bloke and there are some eye issues to overcome.
Central Melbourne is ideal. Many thanks for any pointers and I'm happy to take PMs if that's simpler or if there are places to be avoided.

Dr Rachel Cann. She has an office at YMEN as well as in Caulfield.
She helped with a bunch of paperwork stuff (went above and beyond) when I did my FAA class 1 with her last year. I held a CASA class 1 since 2001 but was my first FAA medical.
She does both CASA and FAA if you need both.

As another ageing bloke with an eye issue - for a DAO I can recommend Murray Smith at Mitcham Eyecare (not quite CBD but not too far) - Tony Gibson in the same practice is also supposed to be good.
EDIT: Just had a look on the CASA site - Murray and Tony are "Credentialed Optometrists" not DAO's - apologies. But they did a swag of specialised eye tests on me as requested by CASA.

If by "central Melbourne" you mean the CBD, Stephen Jelbart is on Bourke St. I've used him twice. Old fashioned, still does the "cough twice please" maneuver.
