Fatigue Management deadline extended

Straight from CASA - air operators have another 12 months to prepare amendments to the Ops Manual, with the deadline now the following May.

Just in case that we needed further proof that our good friends are struggling to organise a party in a brewery.....

You little rippa! Just some relatively simple stipulated rules would have been fine, taking into account new research etc but not requiring reams of paperwork to be written by AOC holders.

They could have still built in flexibility for operators to apply for exemptions where they could prove a need without being so nebulous.

I am still waiting to hear from them as to why it is safer for me to give up 52 trading days a year and start earlier on the remaining days I do work because they have no allowance for working half days and no concept of people who don't have an army of pilots rostered on to work on their days off.
