Yes, correct. Grob trainer involved in heavy landing, with resultant "substantial" damage to aircraft. Pilot uninjured. Reported as caused by "caught in a crosswind gust".
Doesn't appear to have resulted in an ATSB investigation, and I cannot find any record of registration of the aircraft involved.

Not the first Grob to have been banged up at Merredin. The Chinese are learning on them, after all. I think there's been at least 5 Grobs banged up there, over the last decade or so. The poor old Grobs take a hammering.

VH- (unknown) - 08/10/05 - prop strike on runway
VH-ZIV - 11/10/13 - heavy landing, nose gear collapse
VH-BFW - 04/02/14 - stalled on go-around, crashed, substantial damage

Pilot survives Merredin plane crash

VH-ZTO - found this 2007 pic of ZTO "damaged after crash landing, Merredin" - but I can find no crash report, nor any investigation report?
