Forced landing at Warnervale of VH-BWX

Article in the Central Coast Express Advocate

? Daily Telegraph

Good to see the pilot walk away unscathed, pity about the aircraft.

“And my wife came in and said a plane’s just crashed. She said she saw it when the plane had stopped and the wing was in the process of falling off.”
Classic quote, wings falling off is a process that happens after the event apparently. Glad to hear the pilot is OK.

All really good that the Cherokee absorbed the impact forces rather than the pilot.

So a very fortunate outcome.

"She said she saw it when the plane had stopped and the wing was in the process of falling off."

I note that the starboard wing is now upside down. Perhaps the wing was teetering around vertical as the aircraft stopped? Then completed falling over backwards?

Youknow, this could have worked out a lot bad, so in some view, he look a hero!

Nah yeah good job. Nice to see what a Piper might do if put into a compromising situation.

NOW GET BACK TO WORK!

But not publishing anymore which is as great a loss as Tom Lehrer retiring from song writing!
