Oxford Aviation Moorabbin

Hello PPRUNErs
A couple of questions about Oxford moorabbin here:

1- What do Oxford use their Beechcraft c90 at Moorabbin for?

2- Is Oxford at Moorabbin really worth going to?

3- Can you hire aircraft from Oxford at Moorabbin?

Thanks guys

Thanks. Do you know what type of training they do on it, like multi engine turbine, etc?

The C90 is a multi engine turbine aircraft, which also happens to be IFR rated, so my guess is it does multi IFR turbine training.

I recall when some of the QF Link cadets went through Oxford when it was GFS they used the C90 for all of the guys that didn't have an IR when they started the course. As for the cost, they just added it to the bond.

1) IFR training, ME Training and Turbine Endorsement training, if it was serviceable and they had an instructor for it. Mostly it sat in the hangar for the 3 years I attended, but boy were the other CPL hopefuls in the KK impressed when I told them my flying school had a C90. Worth it just for the looks on their faces After that they all thought I was so great they let me have a dorm to myself! Such legneds.

2) Was it worth exceeding my Fee-Help limit, for training that was tailored to an airline environment, in aircraft with avionics GA won't see for another 20 years (or ever quite likely), to get a job earning so little I can't even start paying back the Fee-Help loan? Well you be the judge.

3) Not unless you are a signed up student. Please pay in advance.

Can't recommend them enough! If you want to know more about the experience at oxford, head down to MFT, you'll find most of the students their are ex-OAA finishing of their CPL, MECIR or FIR.

And this Oxford company. How good are they at teaching spelling? Being from the home of the dictionary and all.
