Killed before he even got it into the air

Bit of a sad story locally - older bloke apparently building his own ultralight in his back shed, has been killed by it, before he even got a chance to get it into the air!

Information is a little scarce at this stage, due to Police trying to piece together the precise chain of events - not aided too much by an exceptionally distressed wife.

It appears neighbours heard a loud bang and initially thought an ultralight aircraft had crashed. However, it appears the loud bang was some event initiated by the gent who was working on the aircraft, which resulted in his death.
What that event was (accidental engine start, or aircraft falling off supports while he was under it) remains yet to be clearly reported on.
