New Rutan design revealed

SkiGull details revealed - AOPA

Would love to hear the specs on this and find out some of the finer detail. Interesting that he has picked the 912.

It's not a 912. It's a Rotax 915 i S not yet on the market. 135 HP 84 kg and uses 98 RON mogas. If both the SkiGull and the 915 work as advertised it will be the start of a new era for light aircraft. I totally agree with Burt Rutans sentiments regarding airports. Avoid them like the plague. They're expensive pieces of Real Estate run by wannabe dictators and generally no where near where you really want to be.
