A sad day in aviation history in Qld ten years ago. Those tragically killed and their families are in my thoughts.

Still makes me ill just thinking about this! Lost a colleague in that unmitigated failure of the regulators to do their job effectively.

I flew the same approach in IMC the following day, talking to the rescue chopper that was hovering over the accident site at the time.

Hard to believe that I was more qualified (fully endorsed and current on all the aids) and the V-tail better equipped (terrain warning) than the crew and aircraft flying this scheduled airline service!
